This week I got my edit letter back on Planetside 3, so I’m putting away the new project for a while and getting to work on revisions. It’s a pretty significant revision–the biggest one I’ve done–but the notes from my editor, David Pomerico, are excellent and I could immediately see how I was going to make the book better. I’m excited to work on it.
In other news, Planetside 3 now has an official title. Book 3 in the Carl Butler saga is now called Colonyside.
Colonyside begins a new chapter for Butler. The Cappan missions are over, and he’s retired to live a quiet life in the country on a planet called Ridia. Of course that doesn’t last. As Michael Corleone once said, “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.” Butler gets pulled back in, and this time he’s off to the recently colonized planet of Eccassis…hence the title. It’s a planet of jungle, domes, and dangerous living, where Butler finds himself enmeshed in another mystery.
The expected release date for Colonyside is December 29th, 2020, contingent on me meeting my deadline for this revision in late March. So if I’m a bit scarce for a while, you know why.
On that note…back to work!
Really, really enjoyed this series. Am in the process of finishing Spaceside. Decided to do a Web Search to see if I hand missed Book Three. Had to do a Web Search because Amazon kept coming up with weird books when I searched their site. Any way, looking forward to Book 3. Came up with all kinds of weird books. Have never had this problem with Amazon before.
I “is awaiting” Book Three.
Good book/series!!!!!

Thanks! Hopefully Amazon will get it straight before release day. I’ve always found them pretty reliable at reminding me when a new book comes out in a series. Glad you found your answer here.
