I haven’t done an update post in a while, so I thought I’d do that. Or maybe I’m stalling on the day prior to vacation. Who can say?

First off, I’ve updated my website, and I now hate the draft tool. It looks very different. It looks exactly the same on the site, but it’s throwing me right now. Housekeeping out of the way, on to what’s happening.

The big news for the summer is the release of Spaceside. It comes out in all formats on August 27th. For my part, I’m done with it. I turned in the final edit a couple months back, so now I just sit back and wait. If you’re a reviewer or a published author and you want an early copy of the e-book, you can hit me up (or, if you’re in a group where I hang out, there will probably be a sign up sheet).

For me, I’m writing. Currently I’m working on Planetside 3 (which will not be the final name, obviously–I’m just bad at titles). I’m not quite ready to give details on that, but I think at this point it’s safe to say that this book is happening and will be in the world in late 2020. It’s another Carl Butler book, but where Spaceside continues the basic story from Planetside, this one is the start (and end) of its own story. Characters return, and if you were a fan of Mac from book 1 and missed him in book 2, he’s back for book 3. Much more on this book to follow in the future.

And there’s more. More books. Again, no details quite yet, but suffice it to say I’ll be writing pretty much every week between now and the end of next year. At least one of those books will introduce a new character and a new universe. It’s a book I’m pretty excited about.

Bottom line, it should be a busy couple of years. I’ve also got another, significantly different project still bouncing around in my head that I want to make time for, so we’ll see how that goes.
